During his time at Gibson Thornley Architects, Harry was Project Architect for the remodelling and extension of an existing office building in Farringdon, London
The project brief was to transform and enlarge an out-dated 1980’s office building into more flexible, contemporary workspace that would appeal to a diverse range of commercial and retail outlets.
Nominated for Office Building of the Year, the original concrete structural frame is retained with the building’s facades and interiors entirely redesigned. New retail space is created at ground and basement level, with flexible office accommodation benefiting from newly formed large window openings on the upper levels.
Two new floors of office accommodation, constructed using cross laminated timber, sit above the existing building and offer extensive outdoor terrace space.
